Reporting profilesOkCupid has an extensive moderation team that looks through thousands of profiles per day and immediately removes any that look suspicious. We also run computer algorithms which catch many profiles before they're even reported to us. You can see our safety tips and the red flags we look for here.
We also require all our members to agree to this pledge:
We do not want anyone to feel unsafe or harassed on the site, so please report any suspicious profiles or harassing messages to our moderation team.
You can report a profile by clicking the three dots next to the message button on their profile. This will bring up a menu, which includes "report".
On the app, while looking at a user's profile, you can click on the icon in the upper right corner, and then select Report.
You can also report a message by clicking the three dots at the top of the message to bring up the menu, then clicking "report a message".
Please include as much information as you can in the text box while reporting. It helps our moderators make informed decisions.
If you no longer see the profile on OkCupid, please report anyway via our feedback form and we'll be happy to look into the account further. Include as much information as you can, such as their name, location, age, if they messaged you, if you hid/blocked them, etc.
We do not let people know that they have been reported or who reported them- that information is always kept anonymous.
